Officers and Members
Use the current Lions International club record as the authority for officer roster changes. Apply its Current filter and verify each appointment is Active and within term before publishing.
- Obtain an authoritative roster with the exact published name, role or classification, term when applicable, ordering, and approved photo or contact changes.
- Open both the published page and editor for the same site. Confirm the site title and intended Officers or Members section before editing.
- Preserve page structure, visual style, navigation, accessibility text, and unrelated content. Do not create duplicate pages or cards for spelling variations.
- Update only confirmed entries. Verify the displayed name, role, term, spelling, capitalization, image, and linked contact information against the approved roster.
- For a new annual Officers page, duplicate the most recent prior-year page under History first. Retain its Officers column, footer, and parent placement; update year labels and prior/next navigation. Remove stale current-year news from the copied layout.
- Keep legacy role labels but leave their value blank when the authoritative roster does not confirm an appointment. Do not invent appointments, terms, titles, or board-term lengths.
- Preview desktop and narrow/mobile layouts. Confirm headings, card order, photos, links, and text are readable and that no outdated entries remain.
- Publish only after the preview matches the approved roster. Reopen the published page and record the date, changed section, source roster, entries changed, and verification result.
Reconcile Current and Former Members
Use the Lions Portal as the authority for active membership status. Keep public pages curated and free of member IDs, email addresses, phone numbers, and private roster data.
- Export or capture the active Portal roster with published name, internal matching ID, status, classification, join date, current-club start date, and primary affiliation.
- Normalize names only for comparison. Preserve the approved public spelling and designation exactly. Treat an uncertain match as unresolved.
- Derive additions and removals before editing. A historical join date combined with a recent current-club start date may represent a transfer or reinstatement; flag it rather than inferring a Lions Year label.
- Add a person to Current Members only when active in the Portal and absent from the public current list. Remove someone only after confirming the person is not a duplicate, transfer, reinstatement, or spelling variant.
- Add a confirmed removal to Former Members using the public name and existing designation. Keep names alphabetized by last name. Record deaths in the appropriate In Memoriam section only when confirmed.
- Do not remove historical Former Members entries merely because they are absent from the current Portal roster.
Manual editing standards
Google Sites stores list content in separate editor objects. Make changes manually and one local alphabetical group at a time.
- Refresh or reopen the exact editor page before editing, especially after another editor has made changes.
- Preserve headings, columns, bullet style, title designations, Lions-Year labels, and existing visual treatment.
- Add one approved entry at a time, then compare typography, spacing, bullets, and line breaks with adjacent entries.
- For a substantial correction within one letter group, transcribe and rebuild only that group, validate it visually, and then remove superseded entries.
- For removals, first add the person to Former Members or the appropriate In Memoriam section and verify placement before deleting the Current Members entry.
- Preview desktop and mobile layouts before publishing. Check for blank bullets, run-together names, missing headings or designations, irregular spacing, and alphabetical order by last name.
Human paste packet format
When preparing approved roster changes for a human editor, provide a plain-text copy/paste packet rather than Markdown or prose. Do not include email addresses, phone numbers, or internal IDs. Use literal tab characters between fields.

Published entry is the exact text for the site. Insert after and Current-page location are editing anchors, not site content. Keep entries ordered by last name. Include an Unresolved block rather than guessing an approved designation, Lions Year label, status, death year, or insertion point.
